1. Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Digivite.in ("we", "us", "our") collects, protects, processes, and manages personal data belonging to registered hosts ("Users"), event visitors ("Guests"), and affiliate partners ("Affiliates") within India and internationally.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India, Digivite acts as a Data Fiduciary for registered host profiles and affiliate accounts. For guest attendance responses, guestbook comments, and host-uploaded multimedia, Digivite acts as a Data Processor. Registered hosts act as the primary Data Fiduciaries for their event invitations and are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from their invitees.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information Provided by Registered Hosts
- Account Credentials: Full name, verified email address, mobile number, and secure password hashes.
- Billing & Payment Details: Transaction identifiers, UPI IDs, billing addresses, and payment receipts. All online transactions are processed through RBI-authorized, PCI-DSS compliant Indian payment gateways. Digivite does not store raw credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs.
- Event Invitation Content: Event titles, host names, dates, ceremony times, venue addresses, custom message copy, and itinerary schedules.
- Multimedia Uploads: Event photo galleries (JPG/PNG/WEBP) and custom background music tracks (MP3) uploaded to dedicated secure directories.
B. Information Provided by Event Guests
- Attendance Submissions: Guest name, attendance status, headcount, dietary preferences/notes, and optional contact details provided by the guest.
- Guestbook Wishes: Sender name and personalized celebratory notes submitted to the digital card.
C. Technical & Diagnostic Data
- Audit Logs: IP address, browser type, device information, and request timestamps collected by our server security monitors to protect against malicious traffic, automated abuse, and unauthorized intrusions.
3. Purpose of Data Processing
We process personal data strictly for specified, lawful purposes:
- To render interactive digital invitation pages (e.g.,
https://digivite.in/i/{slug}) and maintain guest attendance lists. - To process orders for template purchases and 120-day subscription passes in Indian Rupees (âš).
- To deliver critical transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets, attendance alerts) via authenticated SMTP/API.
- To fulfill statutory auditing, accounting, and taxation requirements under Indian law.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
Digivite never sells, rents, or monetizes personal data. We share information only with trusted service partners strictly necessary to operate the platform:
- Payment Gateways: PCI-DSS compliant payment aggregators in India for processing UPI, Netbanking, and card payments.
- Transactional Email Services: Secure transactional email delivery providers.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Secure, high-availability database and hosting servers.
5. Data Principal Rights (Under DPDP Act, 2023)
As a Data Principal under Indian law, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access Information: Request a summary of your personal data being processed by us.
- Right to Correction & Erasure: Correct outdated profile information or permanently erase your account via our Account Deletion Page.
- Right of Grievance Redressal: Submit grievances directly to our designated Grievance Officer.
- Right to Nominate: Nominate an individual to manage your data rights in the event of death or incapacity.
